Hacked... the 2nd effing time!

And in both times they fucking changed the email to theirs, so I'm fucked in both.

Now it has happened again.... :/ Just found out now, don't know when as I haven't been playing since March 2012.. :/

What to do ? I live in Iceland so no support here... and they've somehow got onto my email without changing the pass to it (didn't change the emails pass) but fucking changed my damn email to theirs... what can I do????

Now they clock is over 10pm here and I don't want to wait tomorrow....

 

Well I know with hotmail once you get hacked once if you changed your pass and recovery questions, they probably had there email set as the backup email for forgetting password. This happened to me, its pretty easy to fix. try to see if thats what up if not post back

 

First of all, write a few things and send it to Blizzard concerning your issue, even if you are from Iceland they will still read it.
Include things such as you know all the origional details, last time you played from a certain IP adress. It should be fairly easy to track down and possibly recover.

However, I do strongly suggest getting a Battle.net Authenticator, I got hacked a few times before having one, and since having one, never. I have mine on my iPod Touch, as it's free, or you could just buy the official keyring.


- Something was brought up recently about a database hacking involving Blizzard, the chances of your account falling victim to this hack is very small, however don't hesitate to bring it up in your explanation.

Thanks for the replies guys, and yes Todu, I'm sure it was because of that database hacking.. also heard there was some Yahoo-WoW-Mail hacking incident, not sure if those two are related tho but my acc was a damn Yahoo acc

I miss my account so much :/ I know when I created the account, I know the original IP service i use, and I know all the account names on it and what it's pass used to be and the email i had and all my levels. :/

 

If you have an ID you can get the account back fairly easily, that is after you finally get through to Blizzard customer support.

They are probably swamped now, scrambling to get everything ready for the release of MoP, and hell, fix up all of the quirks in D3 still. I know it sounds dumb and you've heard this before, but seriously consider buying an actual authenticator if you don't have a smart phone or iPod touch to download the application. They've changed it around a bit, and you can set it so you only have to input the authenticator code once a week per IP. It's just a minor nuisance to have the peace of mind that some random idiot isn't going to steal everything you worked hard for.

 

I agree completely with what FlyingToast has said. The authenticator is very helpful, I have an iPhone so I have the free authenticator but I would pay for it if I needed to.
