The Average Person Swallows 8 Spiders a Year

I'm asking this in the fields of debate.

Well, why wouldn't it want to? Some animals are attracted to moving objects and can show curiosity.

 

I'm no expert on arachnids, insects, animals, however in my experience I have never seen a spider run towards me. Even the slightest movement would cause it flee in the opposite direction.

Besides, if you really wanted to get technical, I highly doubt a spider even contains the mental capacity to experience curiosity. Sure animals might show curiosity, by reacting to a small noise or something along those lines. I would consider that to be a trait developed over millions of years, since it truly isn't a basic survival trait. Once again, I'm no expert but spiders are pretty much built for basic survival. They stalk their prey, wait patiently for sometimes days on their web. Ultimately they just don't strike me as the type to confront large moving objects.
