iPhone Jailbreak

Okay so i'm about to order a new iPhone since mine broke. I'm looking to jailbreak it.

My question is is 5.1.1 the lastest version? and is it able to be jailbroken?

My old phone was 4.0 so I have no idea.

i wouldn't suggest buying a new iphone now, as it will be outdated in a month

 

I lol'ed at this, just because there is like a bigger screen and a little faster it doesn't mean all the other phones are out dated.

The current iphone has been released nearly a year ago and even then, it used hardware with specs lower than phones currently available then.
Since it was released, a lot of phones with better, improved technology has been removed.

Judging by the speed of current technological innovations, yes, the current iphone is outdated compared to the other phones around now.
