It's massive and unorganized?

 

i meant have it on exploded veiw on the home page, i personally don't want all those extra sections to scroll through.

 

Please, no. Unless you planned on having two subsections in the consoles forum with Xbox and Playsation owning one each.

 

Then minimize the section? It's not that big of a problem, and I think it would be good to see all the sections to avoid all that extra clicking.

Yea, that's one of the cons of this. That's why we want input about it.

 

I must admit I'm starting to get on board with the redesign idea. Hopefully we'll be able to agree on one general format. Steam definitely deserves more attention.

 

Having to click one more time is no reason to create a cluttered main page. If anything the main index should be condensed so that it seems to be less of a mess.

 

Give specifics please.

 

I think what he means is that with all the market sections no longer being hidden, it'll take longer to scroll down on the main page.

If we don't move RS it would only add a couple new forums to the index and I don't think that's all that bad.

That has nothing to do with the market. I asked for one but Nick didn't add it. Just use the other games section... Other RPGs or whatever it's called.

Basically what x339 said, with the price checks being in their respective section. Diablo 3 is a more active market than SWTOR, so should be switched around, as well as the Other Game Markets should move up past the Console Markets to keep relevence from top to bottom.

 

got to thinking last night, and i'm not quite sure if vb supports this, but would it be possible to allow users to customize the front page how they like it just for themselves?

or is it possible to have a vote on the say top 3 or so designs and have a drop down box like the Skins and have those designs there, to give it more of a choice for everyone?

It doesn't. I thought of that but I decided people will just have to live with whatever happens. We are basically a market site so it deserves a large chunk of the front page.
