Is this laptop worth the price for gaming?? deal ends in 3 hrs

It looks like a fairly good computer to me.
The deal on it isn't bad either. Nice processor, enough ram also.
The 630M is a weaker card so I hear, but should be able to play most any game on medium at least.
5400RPM HDD is slow though.

 

It's good for the price, but I wouldn't really consider it a "gaming" laptop. It's got pretty good specs, don't get me wrong, but it's not like you're going to be playing BF3 on high settings or anything. It should handle some games at medium-high and highly demanding games on low-medium.

I second this, but also remember than in less than a year after you buy the laptop, they'll be selling for like $300 less than you paid..

 

Well, not quite. They did not lower the price of the exact laptop, however, they did offer a Refurbished copy of the same laptop for ~200-300$ cheaper. That also only comes with a 90 day warranty, rather than the ~1-2 year you get with the real deal. And besides, with as much power as you get, it's worth the extra money because it will be a long while before you need to replace it to run most of the games you want.

 

Yeah, that's what they told me (and I assumed from my own research) when I bought my G73sw. It's just how the market works. And true, you won't need to upgrade for a long time, but I just don't like my investments losing value as quickly as this laptop has.

from what I know, that's probably the best that you can get at that price.
