This isn't new. A insider source told me they were thinking of unbanning all perm banned accounts and giving a second last chance. However, they decided against it because of the shitstorm it would cause with the legit veteran players.

 

A long time ago I got an account from someone who was quitting that had an automatic membership. I had free member for like 4 months.

This could be a huge fuck you to those fuckers who are always giving away their accounts at GE and recovering them a few days later. Start paying membership, take Fagex's money away, and they will be on their knees! Hahaha.

The best part is, you legitimately just wanted you're info off the account.

I had one of my accounts perm locked because i wasn't the original owner, i contacted them via email and they refused to unlock it, guess i should of tried threatening to cancel my membership to.

My scenario was much more ridiculous though, 2 years ago i purchased a pack of fresh level 3s here on Sythe, then couple months ago decided to play one for a laugh, played it for 3 weeks, made it a member, then it got perm locked randomly and the reason was because it wasn't my account.

The owner was a tutorial island botter, he only ever played the account for 10 minutes maximum. So stupid, wasted 10m on the membership and the account had 20m on it when it got locked.

 

That's pretty sad how they did that... never knew they would do this.

 

Wow that cancelling members threat could come to some sort of use during EOC

 

Considering the amount of money they've lost from past Bot nukes and members leaving the game, I'm not really surprised.
