Attitude of the Mods

ever since i've been here, any help or assistance needed or any questions i have never seem to go unanswered by a mod. their whole mentality needs to change, they arn't in touch with the community very much arguably.

this all stems from the fact i was banned 5 days ago, but previously before if i had any questions i'd ask on msn to be ignored. i was banned for spam, which in actual fact wasn't my fault but the sythe servers. i made a thread in the homework section, a lengthy one at that, and it gave me a 404 error so i went back and copy/pasted so i didn't loose my work and remade it. when i checked infact the first one had been made and their was now 2 exact same threads i had made by accident. why would i deliberately make the same thread twice? anyway i ended up getting a spam infraction and a 5 day ban. when i made a thread in the dispute thread, it was deleted. when i asked a few mods on msn, i was ignored. poor coming from people who are suppost to help the most.

 

First of all, at least 3 of your infractions were warranted. (I can't see the others because I don't have Market Perms). In the future, PM a mod if you think an infraction was given wrongly.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with certain members of the staff team but it's inappropriate to generalize all of us without any actual evidence.

 

Most mods are nice. Some mods show so much attitude its very annoying. Some behave as if they are above you and that's what I don't like. I don't think anyone likes a mod with attitude but then again you cant change someone else's nature.

 

i agree some mods are nice but the others sort of take it as a joke and think they can piss about

They don't "suck". Every staff member is different, in terms of attitude and and how they handle situations. If you have a specific problem with a staff member, either PM someone who is one rank higher than them or take it to Staff Feedback. http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1411743

 

If your infractions were warranted then there's nothing you can do it about it buddy. But I do have a really good tip. Learn from your mistakes! I've made a few mistakes here and have been given infractions in the short time I've been here and I've learnt from every single one of them (which is the point of them I guess, to learn from them!)
I do agree however that some mods are nicer than others... But you get that in every day society. Mods are real people and have their own thoughts, opinions and emotions. Some may act to a situation different to another moderator would... It's expected really wherever you go. Sorry to hear they couldn't reply to your MSN messages. I'm guessing they were either busy or just felt that the action they took was warranted and therefore didn't feel the need to reply. Again, one mod may reply to you and another may not... It all depends on the individual really :/

My best advice would be for you to just learn from your mistakes and try not to do them again mate It's hard as it's like treading on thin ice sometimes as different moderators handle situations differently. I've only been here a few weeks and have figured that out

I completely disagree, I have never had a problem with any sectionals and they have always been more than helpful.

 

This is more of a "staff feedback" but nonetheless, don't generalize. Going off your thread title you're criticizing every single mod for one "bad run in."

I went through all your infractions, all of them are warranted. You weren't infracted for your threads, but in posts which you had spammed.

If your ban will be over-turned, it will be so in the dispute forum and messaging mods on MSN really won't do anything after your dispute is denied. Also, keep in mind that mods also have lives, and various other responsibilities.

Aswell, If you want to dispute an individual infraction, PM the moderator who gave you the infraction. Don't like what they said? PM another moderator asking for a second-opinion.
