Can you find out your original log in username?

I want to get back one of my old accounts that I had but I changed the name and can't remember the original log-in name, is there any way of finding it out?

 

How many times have you changed the name? Is it possible to just add it on another account and check to see what the last name was?

 

Just once, it was like 2 years ago, I have it added on another account but it doesn't show a way to see the original name.

 

Just hover your mouse over the name and it will show you the last used username on the account.

Are there two little computer screen icons next to the name identifying the name has been changed? If not it's likely the name was never actually changed.

 

You could attempt what I'm about to do, I'm going to email jagex and recover my old accounts. Based on ip, well hopefully. They might not comply but it's worth a shot

 

No, I know the account name is changed because I know I changed it, it's been over 2 years since I have logged into the account so I do not remember the original name. I guess I will have to email them if there isn't another way.

 

if this is your scenario:

Account A is your original account, you changed account A's name to something else

Account B is the account that you gave the original name of account A to.

You will not be able to find Account A's original name because when you gave the name to account B it made the last known username thing go away.

Thats how it is on my account

 

maybe write on the rs forum and ask for it, maybe a mod will look into it and solve it

maybe go to you account setup to the windows where you can change your name? maybe your first name will appear? i don't know never changed my rs name

 

isn't your log-in name your original name?

Edit: i mean the name you type when you log into the game has always been your original name

 

It's for a different account not the one he currently has.

 

oh then, what you have to do is find an account that has your original account added to its friends list and it should show the old name. maybe an old account, looks through all your other accounts friends lists

 

I feel like you haven't read any of the previous posts. He's already done that and it didn't show it because it was a Jagex change (numbers; #i156141e).

The only thing he's going to be able to do is email jagex.

If you registered an email address, search your email for anything Jagex sent you. It will contain your current display name so hopefully you registered an email and got sent something over 3 years ago. This also applies to any membership you paid for it.
