I'm Doing A Research Paper On Stereotypes And So I'm Seeking People's Opinions on this!!!!

 

Are you serious? They/we're just people, just like white people. But dark skinned.

Think I've covered the top of my head, but honestly you could probably have mined information from google, what manner of course are you taking that had you do this research?

not to sound racist but the other day i was walking down the streets and i was offered by people who are black if i wanted weed around 4 times. This was in a capital city at around 11pm....so maybe a stereotype is they deal drugs?

Hey alma! I believe that society is what makes a difference regarding black people or any race to that matter...If you placed a young black child with another family of different race and have no interaction of the way black people are "suppose to act" he would end up acting the same as the family.

 

I don't think its a troll, but Alma is black.

On topic though, the majority of black kids are bad. They dont pay attention, and they get suspended all the time. I'm not saying all blacks are like that, just the ones I have encountered at my school.

black people greatly differ just as any other race. however, poorer black people tend to be selfish, rude and ignorant; like most of the poor population. in my area, black people tend to be poorer on average. most are doomed at birth.

 

Just to comment on Giddy's post, I have a feeling you're from the US. It feels like in the UK blacks differ a LOT from their US counterparts, but if you end up in Birmingham and some parts of London they're not necessarily poor, but they make me feel fucking ashamed, since a lot of them are in gangs, knifing people, being poor and brave enough to rob someone and say they're "the hardest". So yeah for the most part in London black's are stereotyped as being in gangs, clutch your prized possessions for dear life! But in like, Cardiff for example. We're pretty much equal to the working class white folk, none of those gangs bullshit here/there.

I'm white and the way i see it is that we're all humans, and anyone who chooses to belittle someone based on the colour of their skin is a fucking spastic. Sorry for the foul language.

 

I'm not racist by any means, and have quite a few black friends. Some of them fit the "dumb nigger" stereotype, while others are just your normal average everyday person trying to get by, just like you or me. Unfortunately, the loud minority tends to give a bad name to the silent majority of blacks, especially in the U.S. As that classic Chris Rock joke goes "I love black people, but I hate niggers".

Again, normal people just like you and me, there isn't any reason for discussion on it. Sure we have stereotypes and if dark skinned people take them lightly and aren't offended and find them funny then sure whatever it's just a joke.

 

Every race has good people that I love, really. I mean, Martin Luther King was the GREATEST person ever in recent history for me.

But there are some things that annoy me. For one, black pride has taken new levels. For example, if I call someone a black kid, I'd get my ass kicked, but they can call us white kids all the time? Not fair.

Also (and most importantly), there's BET (Black Entertainment Television), a television channel dedicated to just black people and with just, you guessed it, black people. Don't get me started on what would happen if there was a television channel called WET (White Entertainment Television), which only had white people and was targeted only towards white audiences. It'd cause an uproar among the black community.

 

Where I live, black people are quite peaceful compared to the Pakistanis in my area. I have no problem with them, and doubt I ever will.
