Buying Gold - Risky?

Is it risky to buy gold? I only have two accounts and they are both very good pures. I was wondering if it would be worth it to buy gold? What are the odds of me being banned for real world trading?

 

I've done it a few times, no problems at all. It's a lot faster if you to just get out there and play

 

The odds that you will get banned are very slim, it's hard to detect, just buy in lowish amounts.

 

There is a chance to get banned , just be careful

 

I've bought gold many times in large increments (100M+) and I haven't gotten banned. I don't think it's too risky at all.

 

The chances you'll get caught for rwt'ing are close to zero.
You're more likely to encounter more risk in actually buying the gold itself off of someone (not unless you're careful, of course). Use an o/mm if you feel the need to.

 

It's also worth noting Jagex will only delete the GP you bought. They won't ban your account or remove any stats if you're caught.

 

I've sold over a dozen bill, and I do have to say that the safest method is p2p staking. The person with the gold should either let you kill them, or just run to the forfeit tab in the duel arena. I've done that for all my gold trades, and I've never had any of my customers receive RWTing offenses, or gold wipes

 

I've sold hundreds of billions via direct trade, none of my customers reported being wiped. I received a wipe one time, but that was right after the bot nuke when Jagex's anti-cheating department had nothing better to do. Jagex seems to only target the mass-traders, specifically the sellers and suppliers, rather than customers.

 

Shouldn't be a problem. Request to stake the money instead if you're paranoid.

 

Appreciate all the info guys! Havent bought gold in a while and since then my accounts have gotten way better so didnt want to risk them for a little gold.

 

I suggest useing RS wal-mart.

 

Don't use rswalmart it's one of those generic chinese sites that's overpriced and has shit customer support.

Ban risk is absolutely 0, and I think this thread has sufficient answers at this point
