Help guys what do.
I just got a part-time job at a takeaway place close to where i live. On my resume i put "Partially Fluent in Mandarin - Been learning for 5 years".
This is true, i have been learning chinese for 5 years, but im not sure how fluent i am. Both my boss's (Husband and wife) were born in china. I am honestly pretty much fucked if they ask me a question that doesn't involve colours or personality or education. My first shift is next week. If they start saying random asian shit to me what do i do? QQ.

I'm going to be the lame one and explain even though your childish simperings pique the sympathy of literally no one from the internet. The fact that you put "partially" in your resume hard-skills screams "amateur" to any professional businessman. It's Life-Skills 101 that you do not use degrading adverbs on a resume, and none at all unless you can prove that you're extraordinary at the aspect you're describing (in this case, your Chinese skills). Secondly, you cannot get fired in the USA (and maybe the UK, but I don't know about that for sure) because you lied about your proficiency in a language, because unless you passed an LPT (language proficiency test) it's all subjective, and therefore you're technically not skilled in any way shape or form in Chinese. So unless you claimed to have passed a certain level of LPT when you actually haven't, it would be wrongful termination. Lastly, unless your job description spells out the requirement for fluent Chinese, or outlines a duty concerning regular conversing with Chinese-speaking customers, they most CERTAINLY didn't hire you because you can say "WO DE PENGYOU NI HAO MA?!". If it DOES stipulate the need for fluent Chinese, then you're fucked AND you're an idiot for applying for a job when you have sketchy (if any) skills in the Chinese language.

You blew this up way too much.
The problem was that i said i could somewhat speak chinese on my resume, and the owners of the place are both chinese, and so im embarresed that they will try to talk chinese to me all the time and i won't know how to respond. I'm 16 and its a job where i stand in one spot for 6 hours and take lunch orders.
