Western Union - Questions.

I'm aware I could have found this from multiple sources on Google. However, I'm also aware that LOTS of people on Sythe go about their everyday business using Western Union so thought it would be the best place to get answers and fast! Also some of the questions are very RuneScape Market specific so I wouldn't be able to find the answers on Google (or with great difficulty)...

I have a few questions (Please be aware that I live in the UK so I would like information to be correct for UK policies too);

1. What are the fees associated with sending money through WU?

2. Is there any way I can transfer the money directly to my bank account without going to a WU outlet and collecting the money in person?

3. What are the scams associated with WU on this site? In terms of buying/selling gold and accounts?

4. Do you have to be 18 to legitimately make an account?

5. How does the USD/GDP conversion work? Is there a charge, and will I lose out if I receive money?

6. Is it illegal buying virtual goods, such as accounts and RSGP through WU?

7. Any additional information you could tell me would be great! I'm a very careful person and would like to know all the information possible when using a service I'm un-sure about

1. Depends on the amount, check WU website.
2. Just deposit the money to your bank account. Or if you want to send a bank transfer to someone, just do it via online banking or just go to nearest bank branch and do it here.
3. Only one, you can get a MTCN code of the other tranaction. Just make sure you claim the payment before providing the goods, and you are set.
4. Yes.
5. You don't lose any money. Money Conversion just shows how much money you have in other currency. Some banks my charge a small fee for it, but I wouldn't be worried.
6. Nope.
7. Go on Google and type Site:Sythe.org and then anything you want to search about Western Union on Sythe.

 

There's a debate about whether you have to be 18 or not. Some if not most agents do not care, I know I sent payments when I was 17 and there were no issues at all.
