    Question on recovery?

    Hey guys I tried to recover my old rs account that was hacked a while back. Usually i'm able to actually send the appeal but in this case its asking for an email and telling me I get 6 trys. If I cant even send an appeal if the account has an email recovery than would that mean I can safely buy an rs account and just add an email recovery? Thanks to any answers :D

    They changed the system, you have to have an email to recover that way. Email accounthelp@jagex and also you can post on the forums under "Account hijacked!" thread i believe. They will lock/remove the email and the original owner will be able to unlock it via manual recovery. Hope I helped!

    Basically, now if you're trying to recover an account you must have the email removed first - Either via the RSOF or sending an email to JaGex.

    It doesn't make buying accounts any safer as the original owner can quite easily remove the email with the thread and recover it manually.

    Question on recovery?

    Do you still have the relevant account information and are you still using the same ISP/Under the same I.P as when you created the account? If so, doing a manual recovery after posting under the "Account hijacked!" thread will mean you will more than less likely get your account back :)
