    Computer Botting Build

Hello, my sister is currently planning to get this computer build to do some massive botting/goldfarming. She has awesome methods and it should take her a month or so to make it back. She's currently wondering how many bots this computer would run? VPSs are getting tiresome with managing for her so he'd like to have a situated computer to play at, thanks. She'll also be playing games such as Diablo 3 and BF3 on this computer while botting. I'm the computer expert, well the best person at computers that she knows so she's asking me.

Case: Lian Li Armorsuit PC-P50WB With Window
    CPU: Intel Core i7 3960X
    Motherboard: ASUS Rampage IV Extreme
Graphics Card: SLI EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Classified 4GB x2
    RAM: Corsair Dominator CMP32GX3M4X1600C10 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3
    SSD:Intel 520 Series 240GB SSD
    HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001 x2
OD: Panasonic Internal BLU RAY / DVD DRIVE
PSU: Silverstone Strider 1200W Gold Evolution ST1200G

Tried to make it as fun as I could to read the technical specs^ ;)

Any good upgrades that aren't overpriced? I reckon x2 690s are too expensive so I put together 2 680s which I suppose is still high end. Won't need more than 2TB, she doesn't even use 100GB atm xD (Whatta Nub).

    Thanks for all suggestions! :D

Well, the amount of bots the computer can run depends on the type of bot you'll be using and which script. Give us that information and it will make the answer more accurate.

dual graphics cards = useless for bots.
    1.2kw psu ott
i7 3960 is way over prices fr the power unless you plan on seriously overclocking it.

the 3770 is 1/3 of the price and you wont notice the diffrerence.
also nobody ever needs a 240gig ssd unless there just stupid with what there putting on there.

Planning to use PowerBot with a few private scripts. Also might overclock the CPU to 5+ Ghz so looking for a good cooler. The 240gb isn't that much more and incase she wants to do something it'll be all good. :)

A good cooler you say? The Corsair H100 or the Noctua NH-D14.

Well, to start off with, the 3960x is double the price of the 3930k for the same thing almost, it's a waste, as is 32gb of ram unless she plans on doing a lot of graphics/video related work. The max amount of ram she would need for botting/gaming is 16gb, 24 if she must have more. Secondly, the bluray drive is unnecessary unless she plans on using bluray discs, and maybe you'd prefer just getting a single higher quality GPU with an 800W range PSU, but if she wants that specifically it's fine. However, I'm not sure if you're on a budget or not, but getting the 32gb of ram, the SSD, and the 3960x is honestly blowing $1,000 or so for no difference. If you perhaps didn't know, the SSDs advantages are simply seek times, which won't be much of a noticeable difference with read/write and an SSD doesn't affect botting or gaming whatsoever, so I'd recommend a 40-60gb range SSD for booting up and anything that can actually make use of it, then a 2tb HDD for everything else.

Regarding the amount of bots, first off she does know powerbot is going to be botnuked soon right? And custom scripts aren't usable, all premium scripts are only 1 name at a time so you have to buy multiple copies and there's a limit to the amount of pbots you can run, I believe 12, unsure on this though. She will most likely want to use simba and a 3930k can handle 17-25 simba quite easily (25 being the limit on a single computer - not ip).

im currenlty using the h60 which im using on an already hot chip and its not going over 50c when using prime 95.
i was thinking baout the h100 but you have to remember its 2 120mm fans, you need a hugemassive case just to support it.

If you plan on watercooling, get a full tower case like Antec 1200. I currently own an Antec 1200 case and everything seems to fit. The design is great. On another word, only CPU and memory is for botting. I would suggest you to watercool it and overclock it. Corsair watercoolers are shit, don't buy those. Get the custom ones and buy a pump.
