Don't listen to the people saying your money is wasted, UNICEF is a great charity on the whole. I'm sure that such a generous donation will help many people in need and I respect you for doing such a great thing.

And how can you prove such an accusation? Believe it or not there are people out there that are "Good" and actually give two shits about other people. The world should be filled with more people like that other than people like you.

Maybe he wanted to share that he donated the money to charity to show he cares about people in need. Can you say you've ever donated a single dollar towards charity for people in need? Can you tell us you wouldn't brag that you just helped more than a handful of others in need?

Its sort of like how rich celebrities with like 50 million dollars donate like

50,000 to charity and they dont even do it because its the right thing,
they do it for fame.

Doing something thats truly right means that you dont need anyone else to know.

 

That is amazing dude, many people will thank you that as you did a very GOOD thing. this is what we humans need more, good people.

 

Who does this help? No one.

All you're doing is giving someone something for free instead of helping the infrastructure. With you giving them new clothing you may have just put out a starting business within the village who barely scraped by, by selling clothing.

IF you feel good about donating its good at the end of the day it will make you feel better about yourself who knows where the money is going but atleast you did somthing alot of people dont

 

I still think that this is foolish. Only assuming, you're still young. What happens 7 years from now when your "good life" comes to an end and you're faced with life altering struggles? I severly doubt that anyone comes running to your aid, unless you are lucky enough to have some kind of rich faimly surrounding you.

Those donations never meet or help anyone. Just barly if so. When Katrina hit New Orleans and all those people were donating money, guess what it did? It brought them bread and water. Millions of dollars to bring the dieing citizens a few thousand dollars worth of goods.

Come around to where I live and hand someone $500. That could change a life here. With the money you claimed to have handed out, that would change a families life here.

 

Feel proud man I'm sure lots of kids are happy that you decided to do this.

 

Good intentions but i would NEVER donate anything that much to charities, i don't even know if they keep it or not
