I can see this, but it's really not difficult if you do any research at all.

The fact that it was a RAT leads me to believe it is a lower-lever amateur who just happened to hit the jackpot with placement.

 

I was just wondering that myself. But Imbedding a RAT onto a website is more than a low level job >.> so whoever did it has some computer skills lol. I don't believe arcus would either, he was perfectly successful on his own through sythe and his site.

Arcus is a primary competitor of mine, but people, I can guarantee you, he didn't put up that RAT. His site was hacked. 100%, no doubt in my mind. But this situation is messed up for sure.

On a related note, everyone needs to update Java right away. This exploit which nailed Arcus, and now consequently others visiting his site, is called a Java 0-day. It is basically undetectable, and is VERY widespread right now.

and I was wondering why there was someone at the w2 spot pm'ing blue buyer/sellers telling them to go to arcus' website. Guess this explains it.

Edit: Clear up what I meant: Someone was pm'ing people that were buying and selling blue party hats yesterday telling them that arcus' website was like a hangout spot for the richest rs player and that you can take out loans blah blah and asking us to visit the site.

It's true. However, Mac's deal with new viruses/RAT's etc quickly and they never have the time to affect any users. Plus Mac isn't anywhere near as used as Windows so..
