Another RS bot nuke will come?

I dont think a nuke is necessary since the eoc will change how runescape looks, bots wont even function.

 

Uhh, have you even participated in the EoC? For injection bots, all they will need to do is rewrite combat scripts, and add support for a few things. For color bots, there won't be much that will need to be updated besides a few graphics at the most. Hell, for example, RiD's pest control bot will still work after the update as long as graphics don't change. Even if they do, it will be fixed within a day or two. You don't HAVE to use the abilities, you will still be able to do combat like it is now, and you can turn off the abilities bar, so it will all look the same.

TL;DR

The Automatic detection system will be added BEFORE EoC, and I doubt that injection will not be functioning for long after EoC's release... However, the fact that the ADS is being released before EoC means that even if they get the injection bots working shortly after, it's just a matter of time for those bots to be banned.

 

Guys you forgot about something - changing rs from Java to HTML5 is actually a nuke itself - all bots will be gone with it for a while (weeks or months), only simba will remain (not even sure about that rly).

I think that by using HTML5 they will be able to implant that auto-bot detection system, just like some other respected games have against hackers( hackers on other games are actually bots), take World of Warcraft for an example, even Knight online - perfect example.

The possibility of an auto-bot detection to actually exist is more than likely, the only question that remains is - when?

 

Changing RS to HTML5 will definitely act as a small nuke to Injection/Reflection, however it's definitely possible to reverse engineer the game in HTML5 (unless Jagex uses complex encryptions, which I bet the dev could get around anyway), and put it in a client of their own. It will not be difficult for bot devs to fix up a bot client for the HTML5 update.

Also, any bots that work based on color, and do not interact with RS game code will work fine if the graphics aren't changed, however if there is a graphical update, it will probably be a matter of hours, or at the worst days for developers to update their bots. And not JUST Simba will be left. Robotz In Disguise and Scar will also be functioning.

The bot nuke will dramatically reduce the amount of bots in Runescape, yes, but people who bot with botting programs such as simba, then I highly doubt they will be wiped out. On the off chance that they are wiped out, then good! Bots sometimes annoy me!
