Another RS bot nuke will come?

Runescape news said it,so what u think if there are really no bots???

I find it unlikely that they will remove "all" bots, due to the amount of money they make from membership. They would lose too much that I don't think "all" will be gone. I think that possibily injection bots updates will be slowed down again. But I think it is just to keep the legit players happy for a bit.

 

They will just need to be recoded and all that, I think simba bots will be the best after this.
Also I think skilling focused bots will become even easier to script.

 

looks as if they're going for the bots that spam peoples pm's with gold websites mainly, i don't think there will be a nuke until the end up September/EoC release date

 

Bots will prob be out for like a week or 2 just like last time, Impossilbe to keep them out i say.

 

Reflection/Injection bots will be down for sometime after the nuke but the nuke won't come for another month or so in my opinion.

Colour bots like Simba will be down but it won't be for long, probably 3-7 days max?

 

If runescape updated the bot nuke every 2 weeks the bots would be gone. They need to stop announcing it to everyone. Catch everyone of guard and hit them with the shwam hammer.

 

They'll do their best to get rid of them all, but I think Colour bots as usual will be back quickly. Sure they can change the colours of the game sprites and whatnot but then they'll just fix the bot to look for those colours.

Simba/RiD will be fine.

 

According to what they've actually said about it in the past and present, it's not actually a nuke (if it all, it would be when they switch to HTML5, which would fuck with Java injection bots iirc), but this would still leave color bots untouched; the most they would have to do is recode them to adjust to the graphical changes.

But yeah what Trent! said it's an auto-detection system not an actual bot nuke, meaning you can still bot but the system will pick up if you're a bot or not so this will AFFECT ALL BOTS!! colour, java etc. To bypass this system the scripters will just have to the script to do human like movements/mouse clicks so basicly they will have to up there anti-ban by 10x if this is the only thing happening then all the scripters would have to do is upgrade the anti-ban which should take 5-30days at max.

 

HTML 5 is a lot more efficient than Java so I'm happy for this update even if we have to not bot for a few months

 

Since they say it would be 0% or close to that detection ratio of humans, that would mean in order to evade the new system, you would actually have to pass as a human. We already know that J Mods, while banning bots manually now, they essentially just look at a graph with your mouse movements shown. If a J Mod can visually look at that graph and tell that there's no way it can be human, then that's enough proof to them to ban an account. This automated system has been said to remove the manual work required by J Mods, which would be that graph judging. Essentially, your bot's mouse movements must pass as human to avoid the system. RiD already does this using things he learned earning his degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. He even went so far as to say that he would be able to code a system to do exactly this, being detecting a mouse movement path as human or a bot, within a day. Well, after all, if you've mastered coding movements that cannot be detected as a bot, then it wouldn't seem that difficult to create a system that detects exactly what your own movements are not, being inhuman. RiD was even offered a second interview to work at Jagex back in 2005, around the time they were redesigning Varrock, which also was the year that RSBot (now Powerbot) was released. 2 years later he released his first version of MTA, and a year after that, mastered the mouse movements and created black box security so the code couldn't be analyzed by Jagex. Based on the timeline, this would indicate that RiD is most likely in his late 20's, with enough programming experience to be considered by Jagex for a job over 7 years ago. When you put that skill into making a bot, and mouse movements that pass as human, that doesn't seem like much of a stretch, tbh to me it makes a lot of sense.

Essentially, as has even been said by RiD recently, RiD doesn't have anything to worry about an automated system. If your bot's movements don't pass as human, or your bot's behavior is too predictable, I wish you luck in avoiding that banhammer, because I know I'm going to be botting my ass off every day up until the release of the system, and every day afterwards. But like I said it's not a Bot-nuke but a program that detects bots if coders are good enough they could make there script use human lie functions as I stated, I also didn't know about this.

 

Nah I'm not mad at anyone lol. I'm actually loving this ADS update, I can't wait for it to be released.

I was mainly just pointing out when you said ALL bots, that RiD is already ahead of the game, and there isn't really anything that will need to be changed or improved to compensate for the improved system. For the other bots, most if not all of them will need to do some massive work to their mouse movement algorithms to not make them just human-like... but actually pass as human. I've seen the "human-like" word thrown around a lot over the years, and I've never actually seen any movements that I would believe is a human from bots making these "human-like" claims. I guess the point I'm making is that bot makers will have to do some serious research on the mathematics and physics of actual human mouse movements if they want to avoid the banhammer.
