    hey im writing an essay for my us history class and i need to do it on microsoft word but i dont have it downloaded on my computer :( is there an online version or some type of similar alternate to it?

    I've heard this is good: http://www.openoffice.org/
    Never used it myself but I've heard it's good as I said.

    A quick Google search wouldn't harm anyone! :p

    OpenOffice is great if you're looking for something free and can download it.

    Online though, google docs is your best bet.

    agreed, OpenOffice is great especially if you are on a mac or something that doesn't come with Word installed. The only issue is the format that it saves in, but there is probably an easy fix for that.
