Aims and Goals for Sythe...

My long term goals are to continue adding my personality to Sythe, in whatever ways I can.

Community is big

I have no goals nor aims with the site, not even sure if you can call it a aim but I try to as far as possible from the trading section mainly due to the amount of scammers and imposters that magically starts to appear after a user starts to get involed in trading...

I really hate the trading section on this site if I really think about it.

 

I hope to significantly impact Sythe by thinking of and pushing for new ways to expand on markets other than Runescape.

 

I do understand your point. But wherever you get a black market, you're definitely going to get scammers. It's inevitable really...

I love the trading section myself, and I personally think of it as a hobby. I love buying account and checking them out. Then sometimes I re-sell them It's just something extra to do when I'm bored and when I'm not posting around ^_^

Don't be too scared of the trading section though. Just trade with trustworthy members with decent vouches. Of course there's always a chance you're going to get scammed, but there are ways to get around it. By using OMM's etc...

I'm not scared of the trading section, I've seen it grow from a small part to a huge part that now the majority of the community spins around.

The trading section has a bigger impact on the community then it should have and that is one of the complaints I have against it.

 

Yeah, I see what you're saying. When I click "New posts" at the top of the page it seems as though literally 90% of the posts are revolved around trading, different sorts of accounts or services. Doesn't seem to be many new posts in the General section, and other general sections... It's a shame really because I'd love to get involved in some discussions but there's not many to get involved in without grave digging.

I guess that's what makes it writhe for scammers are there's so much trading going on. It's a shame really.

 

My goals when I first came here was to trade off a few accounts and make a quick couple hundred mil, now that I've been here for a while and met some really amazing people I've found myself coming back for hours a day, meeting new people and helping others.

So now I run a few services here at Sythe and well on my way of breaking the 20+ vouch count. Now all I want to do is become more known, and maybe eventually become an OMM.

 

Only @ the 33k mark. As an admin I dont get but a few hundred each month.

That it is but I will get there

 

Very nice, FireZ. Good luck achieving your goals. I'm sure a lot of dedication and goals will get you there even though idk wtf a mod log is.

My goals are to teach the users of Sythe more about technology. Although, I'm not doing a very good job.

 

Oh haha. Yeah I forgot that Adminstrator duties don't reward Modlogs. You'll definitely get there though ^_^

Basically the staff earn modlogs when the complete Mod actions. I.E. One modlog for moving a thread to the right section. It's a way of monitoring activity

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the whole things been revamped now, it's called "modscore." Before the change, you can get modlogs for closing threads, moving threads, etc. But, you can only get modscore by doing reports, disputes, and giving infractions. It clears any misuse of the system, and it gauges a moderator's activity better.

I guess right now my goal's just to keep on doing what I'm doing now. Posting around a bit and buying and selling stuff here or there. Don't know if you'd call that a goal though.

 

Oh, neat. I never knew they revamped it. Well kudos to the admins for that.
