Whats youre fave handheld game?

I spent quite a few hours playing New Super Mario Bros, but I'd have to say my favorite of all time would be the pokemon series in general. I stopped playing after Diamond & Pearl, but over the years I've put hundreds, and probably thousands of hours into the pokemon series.

 

Pokemon, hands down.

 

I think almost every kid who owned a Gameboy owned at least one Pokemon game. Definitely the best game to come out on handheld in my opinion.

The return?

Pokemon has been one of the top selling game/game franchises on each handheld it's appeared on. On top of that, there have been and still are a bazillion spin offs, etc. Black 2 and White 2 managed to sell 1.6m copies back in June on the release weekend...and that was just Japan, they won't see an international release until October.

It may not be the 'crazy fad' that it was once, but it's still selling really strongly.

My life exact lol.

To be specific though, my favorite handheld game of all time would be Pokemon Crystal. It was right before the series started to take a different approach, and was my favorite Poke'dex out of them all. Although I never beat any of them on DS and up, but I have played them all, and own them all, including Black and White, Soul Silver, Heart Gold, and both Diamond and Pearl.

REALLY wish they would either make a remake of Emerald or a remake of Crystal. But seeing as how they already have Silver and Gold remakes, I feel this is unlikely.


I also enjoyed the Dynasty Warriors: Tactics game for Gameboy Advance. Definitely a time killer.


EDIT: Metal Gear: Peace Walker for PSP was a great fucking addition to the series, as well. Monster Hunter games are quite addicting, as well as Valhalla Knights.

 

Definately pokemon man those games were good Looking at the new ones though, have you seen the names? Definately keyboard-mash standards

 

For me either the Pokemon games, or the Donkey Kong Land series on Game Boy.

If you count my Sega Nomad, Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

 

Probably Pokemon but I also really enjoyed Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 and Yoshi's Island.

 

Yoshi's Island is my favorite handheld game, right behind each Pokemon.

I can't even imagine how unsuccessful handheld gaming would have been without Pokemon fueling the market.

 

Definitely Pokemon, but nothing after Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald.
