Is it worth making a pure right now or will eoc eliminate pures?

 

Just as good as any other time, eoc or not.

 

Why do you say that? Is it not true that EoC will not make pures useless?

 

pures arent nerfed in the eoc . check yt of the beta , they still kick ass .

Youtube EoC or Runescape Beta pure pking. They are, as nod said, very kick ass with the new combat system.

 

The only problem is that pures with very little def are pretty fucked compared to their similarly leveled mains. Think about it this way:

You have:
99 hp, 99 prayer, 99 summoning, and 99 range + 1 def= lvl 102 combat

Another player has:
99 hp, 99 prayer, 99 summoning, and 99 defence = lvl 102 combat

Considering that the better armour you wear, the higher your health boost goes (in this case, for the 99 def account, possible to be OVER 9000!!!!!!!). This means that 1 def pures will have a shitty lifepoints boost, if any at all. This summoning tank could easily destroy the def pure due to its lack of lifepoints compared to itself.

They also raised the level requirement to wear different armours, effectively fucking with zerkers (who will now require 50 def in order to wear rune).
