Need a new laptop

Basically, I am getting about 1,000 dollars soon (to spend). I want to get a laptop. I want one that is good for playing games and such. I have a lot of games on steam that I don't get to play because my current desktop is a 100$ piece of shit. I would like to be able to at least run GTA 4 in good quality easily.

I am willing to spend between 400 - 600 dollars (Canadian Dollars). Which is why I am posting this here. Hopefully, someone who knows about pc's can point me in the right direction.

My old acer from 2 years ago could run gta4 easily, and that cost 600 at the time.
