There's this girl

Well let's start off with the whole story:

If this makes a difference i'm 17 and im just starting college in 2 weeks.

Me and her once had a thing approximately 2 years ago. This thing wasn't anything huge. We just talked for like 2 months and dated a little bit in that time but one day we kind of just split off because i took something the wrong way.After that we didn't talk besides one day when she texted me and i blew her off because i was with another girl at the time being.

Now I haven't been in a relationship for like 3 month's and i just started talking/texting her like a week and a half ago. That's not a long time but i don't want to waste my time talking to her to get pushed into the dreaded friend zone.
The reason this could happen is because she is talking to another guy who isn't treating her the way she deserves to be treated(he ignore's her, he won't meet her parents, and he won't tell her if he wants to be in a relationship).
We talked on the phone for a few hour's and she told me if she wasn't talking to this guy then something could have happened between us. But i don't know if she's trying to tell me nothing will now or what? I said id wait for her to stop talking to this guy and all she said was she feel's bad for making me wait.

So my question is, should i keep trying to talk to her and maybe hang out while she is talking to this guy? Or is it just going to end up bad for me?

 

I'm afraid we don't have sufficient information to judge how it's going to end up for you, but if you say you can talk to her for hours and if you like her, why not give it a shot? It's not a terrible thing if it doesn't work out, just take things slow. Best of luck!

 

The fact that she's talking to you about another relationship generally means she regards you as a friend. :/
I'm not expert, but I don't think she's looking for a relationship with you. You don't lose face with trying though, mate!
