Free 1m xp? Wtf

Friend told me that because i was a member for the month of aug and i renew my membership through sept. I get 1m xp. How does this work and how do i claim the free xp? Thanks.

 

nobody knows yet as it hasnt happened yet, they did announce it wouldnt be an "xp item" like the mad necklace though so it may be in a LAMP! Jagex hasnt officially announced how it will be given out, however there is some information on the runescape home page

 

1m xp is alot for a lvl 42 pure. Thanks hope it is a lamp that would be dope.

 

Actually you get a 350k exp lamp at the end of August. And then a 750k Exp lamp at the end of September. I believe.

 

350k at the end of August and 700k at the end of September yea, if you remain a member throughout both months. We have yet to know how the exp will be given though.

 

I just heard about this today also. I wish I would have known earlier.

 

So, if we bought a shit ton of rs cards a bit ago with gp, say have 200+ days..

Do we still get this?

Anyway, I hope it isnt lamps. That means you're dumping all the XP into one skill.... I mean 99% of people would do that anyway but I would like it better if you could spread it across the skills you wanted.

 

Hey, I subscribed on the 1st aug and it says it runs out the 29th ??? how will it go? I subbed on 1st aug like it said... yet I subbed on the 1st o.o Will I not get the xp then? or if i renew on the 29th?

 

This is what i think to.

it would be crazy if they just handed you an xp lamp that instantly gave you 350k/750k exp in anything. Imagine a level 3 taking advantage of it, 1m exp is probably like level 75 or near enough.

No player should jump from level 1-75 randomly for being a member for 2 months.

In particular skills such as RC or Farming which are a pain in the arse at lower levels, this would give a huge unfair advantage imo.

my membership ran out 22 august 20:00, i renewed it at 22:30

 

August 31 has been announced as the day that you get the first XP lamp (350k experience I believe). I assume sometime either mid - end September will be when we get the big kahuna, the 700k xp lamp.

What are you going to use your lamps on? I'm pumping mine into summ without a doubt

You'll have to be a member the whole month, it doesn't matter if you've subscribed on the first. :x Well both months rather...if you want the 700k from September, you'll only get 350k for August.

Sadly it will be allowed to be used on any skill of any level.

Lol...it's an XP Promissory Note, not a lamp(although it works like a lamp kinda); what's with all this lamp talk?

Anyways, from my understanding of the FAQ, it will allow you to divide the exp you get amongst whatever skills you want(regardless of level). I think you'll be able to use it on a skill, it will ask how much of the exp you want in said skill, then after the use it will update and only contain however much exp is left. It also can only be used when you're a member and will disappear at the end of 2012.
