UFC 151 Canceled

Sadly UFC 151 has been canceled due to dan Henderson partially tearing his acl. Chael Sonnen stepped up and said he would fight jon jones on a 8 day notice. Jon Jones declined the fight as his couches advised him that 8 days was not enough time to train for Chael Sonnen. Which is very disappointing considering Chael is a 185 pound fighter and hasn't been training for Jon Jones at all. So the event has been pushed to september 22nd Jones Vs Machida. Not sure why Jones would turn down this fight he must take chael as a serious threat.

 

I was hoping he would take Sonnen up on his challenge, Sonnen might be a dick but hes a great entertainer and the hype leading up to the fight would be a good pull even with only 8 days. Jones is going to demolish Machida, a boring card.

 

Hes not even fighting machida anymore, hes fighting vitor belfort i think chael would have been alot easier for Bones..

 

I was only going to watch it because of Dan Henderson fighting but I don't see why Chael Sonnen didn't just go ahead if he wanted to fight then he should of just gone ahead with it and if he would have won the victory would have been that much better.

 

Chael was wanting to fight Jones but Greg Jackson told Jones that him accepting the fight with Chael would be the biggest mistake of his life. So now Chael gets no fight and Bones will fight Vitor Belfort.

 

How in the world is vitor getting a title shot over shogun? Vitors last two wins were at 185. This is craziness.
