the funny thing about Just un dude is, he lost all his duped gold...PlayerAuctions denied him all rights to selling gold onto their website. but he did make a hell of a living. sold over 70b for .35/mill.

for any of you who know Just un dude, he won't ever admit anything..just look at why he's banned.

Anyways, I compared Just Un Dude to Matkes.

One might assume that Just Un Dude was not selling duped gold, but he never claimed that it wasn't duped gold; he simply claimed that it was not duped gold from the Crucible glitch.

Punishment for Just Un Dude: TWC. After complaining that the whole market was filled with duped gold from matkes -> TWC Removed. Then when he uploaded a video of the Crucible glitch -> TWC & Market ban. After complaining -> Permanent ban.

Punishment for Matkes: None.

Also comparing their backgrounds. Just Un Dude has been merchanting gold for multiple years and has over 800 vouches. No problems at all. Matkes just joined to sell his duped gold. If he would get banned now all his loss would be some gold selling vouches, which aren't even that needed when selling gold. Just Un Dude on the other hand has been one of the most trusted people here on Sythe and has been banned because people assumed the wrong things themselves.

Other gold merchants have been purchasing from Matkes' duped gold and made loads from merchanting that gold. There is no punishment for them, even though they were clearly in there for the money and didn't care about their customer safety.

I personally think that a permanent ban is extremely harsh. A typical example of miscommunication and unequal treatment of the staff. I think that his ban should be overlooked again and that the staff should look at the facts. It's not fair to punish one person while not punishing others that did the same - or even worse.

 

I don't believe in banning or punishing someone due to suspicion. But he uploaded a video doing his dupe glitch. He admitted to being banned under 2college. He DID abuse the glitch and did get a very LARGE sums of money. Then as I believe he told multiple admins here in Sythe that the gold was not Duped. (which is a lie). I'm not saying I blame him for selling. He made a shit load of money doing it. Anyone else would. but selling 500m min is putting ones account in danger.

I believe he should have came out and announced that the gold was Duped which is why he is selling cheap. Buying at your own risk is on you. BUT that is against the rules. I agree that a Perm Ban was a little harsh but i honestly would have done the same thing.

You made some valid points but there is an end date to his Ban, i believe in late september. (i think) . It is what it is. PlayerAuctions also stopped him from selling on their website aswell. So it's all about the whole aspect on the people buying the gold.

-> IMO it's rather obvious that the cash was either duped by himself or purchased from someone else that duped considering he was selling even lower than the other big gold merchants (that also purchased duped gold to resell)

I saw somewhere that they WERE confirmed with the user Finn was talking about, though I don't really feel it was serious.
Either way, it WAS confirmed.
