Craigslist flipping

Just curious if anyone else does this, but I noticed people selling ipod touches brand new not fake either for $150 ish give or take.. and I can sell em on craigslist for $180.. curious if anyone else has flipped stuff on CL.. as I'm thinking of doing it but I want other people's opinions on this too

 

Craigslist seems a bit sketchy to me to be honest, I have heard about many thefts and scams going on. But if you find a safe seller then sure why not, if you think you can make some cash.

 

It can definitely work, I've done it before. Always remember to meet up with your customers at a public area, I usually go for a Starbucks or something like that. I wouldn't spend too much time and effort to try flipping on Craigslist though, as the money is slow and it only works with items that are really high in demand (iPods are perfect), since you're only dealing with local residents.

 

My friend has made over $20,000 flipping cars. I know a few others who flip on CL as a living

 

I used to buy off of craigslist and garage sells, then go straight to ebay with it. Even with the fees feeding items to the larger crowds usually brings higher prices. Has worked for me, just don't have the time for it anymore.

true you can easly flip if you have something to invest.

 

There are so many person that do scaming there like i see a news about Robert Gonzales would set up a purchase for an iPhone on Craigslist and then snatch it from the seller and run away.Garden Grove undercover officers posted an ad on Craigslist to buy an iPhone and then lured the suspect.....

Craigslist is really sketchy, try flipping on ebay. Pretty fun

 

I used to do a bit of this, but the minuscule profit you make of each item (at least in my case) really wasn't worth all of the time I put into it.

 

This is what I've found to almost always be the case, unless you are doing higher value items, like Firez's friend.

 

Iirc, FireZ said a while back he used to have a friend that would make corn hole sets out of plywood he found. This seems like a much easier and efficient method to make money as you're making nearly 100% profit (If you can get the wood cheap / free).

 

We make cornhole boards out of 1/2 plexiglass. I paid $30 for over $1200 worth of plexiglass

 

I've made the upwards of 300 dollars through game consoles, it cost gas driving to various neighborhoods though which I wasn't comfortable continuing to do.

 

I buy trucks with blown head gaskets or other problems with cheap parts, do the work myself, then sell for a large profit. All it takes is some spare time, and it helps if your mechanically inclined.

 

Honestly anything that you're really into and know about. You don't want a bunch of random shit you paid too much for lying around.

 

I used to buy musical instruments with minor defects, fix them, then resell them.

Very lucrative, especially if you know what to look for.

 

Yeah if you flip on eBay the fees really kill your profit margins:/

 

You can flip on almost any online trading site. I find it better to buy cheap from another(source) site then sell it on another trading site for a lot more.
