What is this for?

Hey Sythe members.
I walked into a store today, just wondering.
It had some cameras, but then it had some mirror thingys mounted up in weird places.


What are these for?

 

They might have been 'fish eye mirrors'. The owners have them set up around the ceilings to make make it easier to keep watch around the store.

Either fish eye mirrors as TV described, mirrors on corners so you dont bump into someone on the corner, or cameras hidden behind the mirrors.

 

I worked in a convenience store for a year and a half and I can assure you, stores don't hide cameras. They want you to know you're being watched.

These mirrors are generally used to see areas of the store that employees can't see from their "post". For example, let's a cashier see an area behind a shelf, so they can keep an eye on people back there without having to walk away from the register.
