Account can be hacked if you log into other's account?

A person told me that there friend was hacked by her RS friend after she had logged into his account.. And then his same friend had her details, so he transferred stuff.

Good riddance, I don't really think that's possible, she had probably given details herself.. What's your answer?

At best the other person would get her IP from this. And that's not enough to recover the account.

 

^That's true. and with the IP they could DDOS/track you, but they can't hack you.

 

When i said "details" i meant password/username indeed, so i think that answer to main question(thread title) is No.

An IP can be enough to recover an account.
You don't wanna know what you can find out with just an IP.
No no, I don't mean this IP trackers to see where they live, there are other things people like you don't know -.-

If he has the ip address along with 1 old password and the username then he just keep doing recover lost password off a proxy untill it changes, its a slim chance but it does happen.

I guess if he scared them into changing their password without knowing any previous passwords, he could apply for a password saying he just changed the password and forgot it, still slim chance but I assume its possible. The recover system that jagex has seems flawed.

You can get alot of account info just from talking to people.

I forgot one of my passwords to an old account and the only info I could provide is what internet I made it on and roughly what year I made it in, I ended up getting it back 5 years after I forgot the password.

 

That's what actually happened, it's obvious, she sure given him her details, after getting hacked, she tried to hide her stupidity so made this made up story which is technically wrong as well.
