What if runescape was free of bots from the beginning?

I want your thoughts on how runescape would be if bots were never introduced. I think that everything would have more value and pk would be alot better. People would take pride in every 99 and runescape would be alot more populated. That and look at the amount of updates that got implemented cause of bots.

 

The game would be so goddamn boring I think. You'd spend half your life grinding away so you can get a 99, then you spend more time trying to get other 99s. I do agree with some of what you are saying though, everything would be a lot more valuable, pking would be better, but I don't think it would be more populated. A large amount of the runescape population is bots, and if people had to play legit the whole time, they'd quit because of the time it takes.

 

My main that I've been trying to sell for months would sure be worth a hell of a lot more.

Soccer: that's the point of RS, 99's are supposed to take months of grinding away to get them. Getting a level 80 in a skill was supposed to be something to be proud of- a 99 was purely amazing.

Botting kills the essentials of the game.

But now everyone bots because having a 99 in one skill isn't impressive now. In order to be considered 'good' you have to have a dozen 99s and no one is willing to spend a solid year of their life working towards that when some 12 year old kid with a laptop can make the same account without having to play more than an hour total on the account.

It amazes me that people still play RS.

False, the community would be more like WoW. Gold would be more valuable and you would actually have to work for what you have.

 

i agree lily. And i would like to say that its bogus when people say that it takes 2 much time to get 99. So if you dont have the time then how does that give you a pass to bot it up. People that put the time in should be on top not the cheaters. Bots killed everything that was good about runescape. Then you complain about the game turning to shit.. Blame yourself.

 

Would make all skill profitable at high levels, would be awesome tbh, I think that no high alxh form the begining would have been more interesting

 

I make about 150$/week botting wow..

I make about $50/week botting runescape..

I almost wanna say wow has more bots....

 

I think the Runescape community would be a lot better. In my opinion players would interact a lot more than they currently do.

Thats dumb. If there were no bots there would be tons more active players fighting to be top dog. Everyone has 99s. When rs gets a newcomer thats legit and works hard for a week try n to make 5m they end up quitting. Whats the point. Legit cant compete with bots. And how would rs be boring without bots? Its obviously to boring to play hence why you cheat. Lmao. Legit 4 life. Fox wit it.

 

Would be really surprised but now that optimus is setting, I've heard optimus is a platform to be able to run more frequent bot scans of rs or something like that which sounds like it'll be putting a stop soon.

 

If there were no bots, I would have never played.

i think a loooot of less ppl would play it. a 99 takes long (depending on the skill) and it would take way too long for me to do it legit

 

I think Runescape would of been better if there was no bots from the start.

It is indeed an unfair advantage, therefore ALL players should have access, or NO players should. The fact bots are only available to the cheating community does damage the game in my opinion, but we've all profited from it so i can't complain.

 

Have you not played WoW in the last year or so? There are just as many bots there I think as here. When the bot nuke came all of the bots moved to WoW in a huge pack. Ruined what was left of the game big time
