Running Custom Scripts?

Hey all,

I know most people are aware that RSBot has disabled local scripts in their current version and I was wondering if there is a bot out there that can run custom scripts as I want to use some for botting that aren't available on the powerbot SDN currently. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

NB: I am not a scripter myself (just yet.. hehe..), but I have briefly learnt some Java and I know that you have to import methods and packages and powerbot has their own packages for use. If I were to use a pb script with other bots, would it fuck up?

Simba is 100% open source and all scripts are also open srouce and user created.
It's PASCAL Script, not Java, and works via Color and other methods, not injection.

simba is really the way to go. I totally agree yohojo. Wanted to learn a lil bit pascal and they helped me a lot with my problems. I don't think you'll find an other helpfull community than villavu

 

Hi, RSBot scripts aren't compatible with any other bots.
Timer has said that he will re-enable local script support soon.

 

Okay, Sweet. I might have a look at Simba, but I will eventually be coding scripts in Java because I will eventually be studying that later next year hopefully.

 

Since you don't know much scripting yet, I'd suggest using RID. It's a little more expensive, but you'll get what you pay for and they have an excellent "customizable" program for you to use.

 

RiD isn't scriptable at all, it's closed source.

It has one script you can customize to do a variety of super duper basic things.
It seems like OP wants to learn a programming language/coding more than just being able to slightly customize a bot.

 

No idea what RID is, but I don't have much time to learn a language atm so I don't think I'll look into learning Pascal, but I will probably have to learn Java at university sometime, so when I do I will learn to script at the same time. I don't have enough time to look into Pascal, but it seems like a nice language to learn. Might do it someday. I admit, the communit is a lot better than powerbot's thoguh.

 

PASCAL is SUPER DUPER simple and an EXCELENT language for coding beginners to learn with! Scar/Simba are made to use pascal script on purpose to facilitate people to learn and use a simple easy basic programming language. If you don't know programming at all, pascal would be a great and easy one to start with. It will really help you get down the basics and fundamentals of ALL programming languages and make learning the tougher ones easier.

 

I've done a few programming languages before. I did VB.Net then Python last semester and now we are studying C#. I'm not new to programming, I love it.

 

Yeah, well, unless you learn a language, or pay someone to write a script for you, you won't really find much customization as far as bots go. If you don't want to learn to script, and don't feel like paying someone to customize and consistently update private bots, you'd be stuck with purchasing premium bots (perhaps some free ones too). A lot of bot sites have different bots. RiD (Robotz In Disguise) has 10 premium bots and 2 free bots, capable of earning 18 different 99's, and new bots are released every few months. However, as far as customizing, RiDiverse can be made to train 5 different skills, using different methods you pick yourself, no programming required.

If you end up scripting yourself, Simba is one of the easiest places to learn

 

I'll eventually learn Java and then start scripting in that, but I just wanted to use some of the scripts from Powerbot that are not on the SDN. That's all. The Runite Miner mainly. The one on the SDN is crap and doesn't hop properly. Lol.
