Ive done my fair share of just abouut every available drug. Not because im addicted but, because im curious. I use drugs recreationally for fun/party mode. Chill out smoke a jay n get up n go to work/school next day. Stop blaming ur problems on stoners who mind there own business. Yes I say yes, in my opinion the only reason it is not is because of the big drug companies paying big bucks for it not to be legalized.

 

To me legalizing it for Medical uses should be good for now, maybe thinking of legalizing it for everyone in the near future. Baby steps would be the best to make sure nothing crazy would happen.

Marijuana doesn't prevent cancer from occuring. It also helps in many other conditions than cancer- AIDS, glaucoma, etc...

Marijuana should be legal for everyone, it honestly causes little to no harm to society. Alcohol does much worse, same with smoking cigarettes. There's a lot of reasons why weed is illegal, not only because it gets you high. But it ruins other industries as well, tobacco, tree(making paper), clothing, blah blah blah, whatever hemp is being used for. But honestly, it should be legal regardless of it making you high. I'm Chinese(Asian), and I admit I smoke weed a lot. I face my parents with this pretty often, and they grown to not care as much as long as it's not in my area. Although I bike really really far to my friends house just to blaze while I could do it in my garage and no one would know.

I live in California and medical marijuana has already been legalized and the use of marijuana itself has been decriminalized.
However the whole "prop 215" "medical cannabis" "420 evaluations" all of this - just a sham.
I've got a friend who has a medical card for restless leg syndrome.. (No, he does not have RLS)
You can go into the doctor's office and basically say my back hurts, or I'm an insomniac, or I need it to eat.
Or be simple and say I wanna smoke pot.

• So my personal opinion is that it should be 100% legalized and regulated like Alcohol. While customers can make their own as long as they do not re-sell. (same as alcohol)
• The user should be 21 years of age or older/can get in trouble for operating a vehicle while "Driving while intoxicated" punishment you have to "sleep it off" in the drunk tank at the jail. AKA stay the night in jail & bail out; same as if you were drunk driving.

*A bonus of this is that it would seriously impact the drug cartels as an easy cash crop for them is marijuana. Marijuana is one of the easiest plants to grow, it will sustain is practically any environment. Billions of dollars annually are crossed through the United State's borders as well as other countries borders. These drugs are not regulated whatsoever, the customer has no protection or guarentee in the product. Many middle american countries have violent wars going on with the drug cartels that are fighting over smuggling territory for their precious drugs.
If marijuana was legalized over 50% of anual drug cartel funds would be no longer while keeping the american citizens a little bit safer. The cartels would have much less to fight for as their "easy cash crop" would no longer be worth anything. An ounce of marijuana ranges from 100$-300$ to the street dealers while a pound of marijuana ranges from 500$-2000$ for the drug cartel while it's worth 4000$-7000$ on the streets depending on supply of the area. With it's legalization you would be able to buy a "good" ounce for under $40 dollars from your local market. Their would be no worries to the products guarentee or content.

I think that people have the right to make their own decisions, so it should be legalized.

As Stated, It allows the trade to be regulated, it makes it possible for people to get it without going through gangs and drug cartels.
Which in turn would (I hope) cause their business to be less lucrative, eventually resulting in a reduction of just activities. I'm not experienced or well learned on the matter, however.

Although this does remind me of the opium trade in china, it seriously fucked up their country, to the point where it required military action to stop.

 

Only for medical reasons. If it's legalized a ton more people would do it and some people can't even handle their drink, think about weed..

 

weed's a lot more different than alcohol. If you smoke for a long enough period of time, you're either gonna pass out or throw up. You don't become violent and stupid (well maybe a little stupid) like you would if you were drunk.
It's a lot more enjoyable (at least imo) to smoke moderate amounts at a time. I like making my weed last

The only advantage I can think of for legalising weed might be increasing the rate of natural selection, but as I don't think that really would gain popular support, keep on protecting people from themselves when they can't fix their own lives. Supporting weed is like denying global warming , sure enough people support it because it is easier than accepting the harm being done, but millions of weed users telling you how safe it is, doesn't make it so.

 

look at spain and the netherlands and tell me marijuana legalization or at least decrim wont work in NA.
