    Pretty sure they just compile a list of a ton of botters, and ban them all at once.

    Nuke is just a term for general decimation.

    The previous nuke worked by altering the way the game was coded to close up some loop holes the bot creators were using.

    How does BotNuke actually "Nukes" bots?

    I thought that the nuke was aimed at stopping the bot, not the botters.

    How does BotNuke actually "Nukes" bots?

    They change the way the game is processed so that if you were using the games commands it wouldn't work. Doesn't stop stuff like SIMBA or other Color clicking based bots that use colors/pictures to identify, but stuff like powerbot will probably break.

    How does BotNuke actually "Nukes" bots?

    Previously the update before had something to do with the changing graphics so, the graphics were inverted which changed almost all of the game so that was the previous botnuke to my furthest extent of knowledge.

    I don't think it has much to do with "banning the bots", just stopping them… temporarily ;)

    How does BotNuke actually "Nukes" bots?

    In simple terms they change the inner workings of the client and break the patterns that bot developers have to find hooks by changing how stuff is done and introducing different obfuscation methods. This means that bots(injection/reflection) are unable to read data from the client such as current location, animation, inventory items etc therefore scripts break.
