Quick Question.

I had a good friend of me come to me about looking for a laptop before she moved to school. She wanted to get a mediocre $699 laptop from dell and I convinced her not to. I was, though, wondering if you folks had any suggestions for good laptops with a good price. I want to find her one for around $600 or less and quite honestly I'm terrible shopping for computers.

Yes, but Acers are absolutely horrible for battery life.
I'm still looking around too. Don't mean to sound bitchy >_<

 

What does she want the laptop for?

 

Asus or toshiba is ok.

You could also configure your own but idk about 600$.
Don't ever go with dell, lol.

 

I'm not sure what she plans on doing with her laptop, but I think that the Acer Aspire V5-571-6869 would be a nice laptop.

It has the same processor as some ultrabooks and the processor is an 'u' version which should give a longer battery life.
