    I need help.

    So I don't know what's wrong with me but every night at around this time (12-6AM) I have this urge to just pack everything I have and leave somewhere, kill myself or just basically around this time is when I feel like I can say/do anything without having any consequences only to feel like an idiot/embarrassment when I wake up in the morning/afternoon. It's almost as if at this time I have the most courage but I can never act on these things, but either way this has been going on for years and I think it's the reason I've stayed the way I am.

    I suggest putting yourself to sleep before this time. Try hard to. Take sleeping pills if you need to. Your problem seems to be serious as one night, you might do something gravely wrong because of this so you should really seek professional help.

    I just smoke weed and forget it.
    I had some of the same thoughts :) - just not time based.
    well i dont recommend you to do so.
    i've been smoking daily alot the last 3 years. and well it help my mind to be on the right place.
    but i still got the problems i'm just hiding them if you know whatta i mean :)

    but imo i really think you need to speak with a prof about it. and maybe get some anti-depressive pills.

    ^ Not actually a bad idea IMO.
    Marijuana can actually make stressful times and in this case Emotional times very relieved.
    But then again it is illegal >_<
    Perhaps see a psychiatrist? That's what Alan Harper did in 'Two and a Half Men' :)

    I need help.

    Like some of the suggestions provided, sleeping pills may be a fairly good option. Aside from that, when and if you feel like you have an urge to do certain things keep your mind active, something which requires you to concentrate hard; always try to think positive as well, hopefully that excludes any chance of negativity. My suggestions might seem pointless, but it's down to you for what works out - in some cases talking to a counselor is the prime option for most.

    As well, don't take drugs. "Pot" can have a negative side-effect as well such as paranoia.

    I need help.

    This is what I do when I can't sleep:
    I lay down in a single position. One pillow inder my head and another beneath the knees (has something to do with helping blood flow) and get underneath the covers. I try to be as comfortable as possible.

    Then, I imagine that I am on one of those pirate shIp rides in amusement parks, except it's in a forest, and I'm alone. I feel the ship rocking back and forth, and imagine the sound of the wind and the trees.


    When you feel an itch, don't scratch it; it's a sign that you're ready to fall asleep :)
    If I do this, I can fall asleep as long a I didn't drink too mich taurine powered drinks

    I need help.

    Hmm there seems to be an underlying issue that has to do with midnight to 6 am that you aren't dealing with. Has your house been broken into between this period and you didn't know what happened only to wake up to a ransacked house? Did you receive a call around that time about a person close to you dying?

    I noticed that in the spring I can subconsciously feel somewhat depressed because about half a decade ago my closest friend at the time killed herself in the spring and it was devastating to me.

    As far as having a large amount of confidence that likely coincides with the time you are drunk if you like to drink and the result is fairly typical of those who drink.

    Its difficult to give specific advice because there is an underlying issue that is causing this and its hard to address it without knowing what it was. You should probably see a shrink about it.

    I need help.

    You need to find some sort of stress relief. Whether that's working out, going for runs, smoking a fat joint every night, reading a book, watching a movie, bumping some music- whatever it is, you need to give your mind a break from whatever it is that you think about throughout the day. Downtime, where you think about absolutely nothing but the task at hand.

    Also, being around people throughout the day really helps.

    If you're alone all day, and all night, ultimately you'll come up with some rather unrealistic conclusions and insights. The trick is thinking about what you are grateful for and being optimistic that things will change if you're not satisfied with how they're going.

    I'm speaking from experience when I say these things. Keep your life in motion and your mind will not stay static.

    I am just going to flat out say this. Weed isn't going to help you. I agree with Lilly. Drugs won't get you anywhere.

    OT: There is probably something that happened to you during this time. Or, you could just be like me. I can't listen to sad music. Because for some reason, I begin feeling sorry for myself. Can't understand why.

    I recommend working out. If you are overweight or have some sort of insecurity. Fix it. I used to be a bit chubby back in 8th grade. I would always think so bad on myself. I almost got to the point of attempting suicide. But I did the same thing as you. I would wake up and think of how stupid that would be.

    Take a break from things. Do something you enjoy for a while. Get your mind off of it. If you can't, I would suggest looking to talk to a therapist. Or someone who can give you better advice and take the steps to make you better.

    All in all, I hope this all works out for you.

    Just thought of another thing that may be of some use for you:

    Try getting involved in something artsy, or creative.

    Writing, Music, Drawing, etc...

    May just help with what ever it is that you're going through. You can do anything you want with art and not have to worry about the consequences in the morning.

    Paint a horrible picture? Throw it out in the morning.
    Write a poem or song about someone you care for? They never have to know.
    Create a tune on the piano? No one has to hear it.

    You see where I'm going with this...

    After thoroughly considering your issue, I have come up with a solution that may just work. Begin to think about what you want to do before this time, so you can have a better plan on how to deal with it. If you want to pack your things and leave, make a plan for it and do it in the least disturbing way. If you want to kill yourself, first consider other options, such as finding new friends and occupying your life with something you enjoy.
