Possibly hacked user

99% sure it is hacked.

Please have a look into it before anyone actually gets scammed.

 

I agree that the account may be compromised, or may have been purchased to use for scamming. There have been many old accounts from 2005-2007 suddenly appearing and being involved in scams.


His last post was on June 28th 2007, and then suddenly he posts yesterday and goes straight into the market:




MODS: I've checked all the IP's on his recent posts and run them in ModCP, and sure enough there are lots of matches to other banned users and what is probably a proxy/VPN. I will not post that information here publicly but it is easily accessible if you need to see it.

 

Do a simple IP check to prove why a user who stopped posting 2007 is suddenly back to buy rsgp and posts on everything that offers rsgp from quests to minigames to accounts and gold.

Don't worry, I've already done so and the IP you posted is that of a proxy/VPN and connected to many users who are already banned.

There have been many accounts lately that have been popping up in the market and getting involved in scams, that have been inactive for years prior to their sudden reappearance. It is likely that somebody is either hacking/recovering these accounts, or that they are being sold to scammers on other websites.

I've banned him for now and he will likely remain permanently banned until (if) the real owner comes back and verifies his indentity.
