Pre-built computer thoughts?

Hey guys what do you think about this computer, its looking real nice for only $700.

Im not real tech savvy, so if someone could possibly list the pro's and cons i would be very much appreciated. I want to be able to use it for some gaming, such as crysis 2/skyrim.

From what i understand i7 is the best you can get at this point in time, and it also includes a free upgrade to the i7 3770, but im not 100% sure if there is a massive difference between the i7 2600, and the upgrade. Thanks guys.

What computer?

 

Pre-built computers obviously always costs more then building your own, but I can't tell you if that's a good deal or not unless you post the full specs.

 

It would be great if you could post the PC specs then I'll give my opinion on the good/bad things on the computer.

 

An i7 3770 is definitely an upgrade over an i7 2600, yet while playing games you will see no difference in frame rates.

That is a good link to illustrate how anything over an i5 3570k or i5 2500k are useless for gaming.

The most important part for gaming will be the graphics card. I am sort of assuming, but if you are getting a prebuilt with a $300 processor for $700, I am doubting the graphics card will be very good.

 

They're ridiculously bad if you just leave them as they are. But if you upgrade them, I guess that's fine.

I'd still recommend building a PC from scratch though. If you do that, you'll have all the parts you want.

Just as I thought,

The computers come with no GPU, so you will have to either upgrade or play with the piece of crap integrated GPU.

The computer comes without windows operating system, so add another $100 onto the price.

Also, prebuilt computers like that are usually sold with crap PSU's so the company can turn a large profit.

The best advice I can give you is to take your $700 and have me, or someone else on here, give you the links to a great computer build.

For $700 you can get a pretty nice computer, and not have to worry about your PSU going out. Also with building a computer you get much more customization than buying prebuilt, which is always nice.
