I think that most of the stickies there could be pushed into one, this would make the section look less cluttered and more organized.

 

I agree, however, I doubt anyone would take the chance of messing with stickies made by Richard, so you're probably just going to have to live with it.

 

Im sure Richard would agree, most threads could be put into one thread as a guide line/Rule thread.

 

Not really an issue at all. The four topics about rules could be merged, but I like the debate topics Sythe has. Wouldn't say it's cluttered, but it would make sense to have a "SFA Rules" thread instead of the 4 or so that currently highlight rules in the forum, but it seems it's like that to grab attention.

I think SuF could do it, he's in the SFA a lot, provided Richard didn't mind of course.

 

Here is an example: Can be modified or completly scaped but this is what I mean just to clear things up.

 

It would make the section less cluttered and easier to look at if it didn't contain that many stickies. I think having one sticky having ALL of the information could be overwhelming, maybe two or three would be a better idea. Also, maybe a moderator can PM Sythe and propose this idea to him, and ask if he is okay with it or not.

 

I honestly don't see it being a problem.

Most of them serve an individual purpose:

Sticky: Ethics, Morality, Politics, and Law (Introduction to Ethics and Politics - 2 branches of philosophy).

Sticky: Not an argument (An introduction to how to argue in philosophy).

Sticky: Why Socialism (and Communism) Fails and why our society is being destroyed (A detailed explanation as to why 2 major political systems fail - everyone should read it, because most people are semi-socialist).

Sticky: Prove my existence within a state (This one could be pruned, but meh, what Karl said)

Sticky: Prejudice, actions, and consequences (Seems to be an introduction to metaphysics, namely, causality)

Sticky: IMPORTANT - Collectivism vs Individualism - Throw away your political dictionary! (A little bit more advanced politics, though, still very fundamental to politics - it can't be combined with another sticky because it is a major stand alone sub-topic)

Sticky: God threads will be removed unless they contain reasoned argument in the first post (This could be amalgamated with the rules)

Sticky: SFA Forum Specific Rules - Please Read Before Posting (This could be amalgamated with the rules)

Sticky: Do not post spam or unintellectual opinion in this forum - You will be banned. (This could be amalgamated with the rules)

The bolded ones are the only real ones that could be merged; the rest pertain to different disciplines within philosophy, thus should be kept separate.

I'll PM Sythe and see what he says; it really depends though on the benefit in keeping the titles (let's be serious, most people don't read the stickies) versus the cost in a little bit of 'clutter'.

 

Yeah... It's not likely to happen.
