    "Under Dispute" Button?

I know iv seen alot of threads saying like, "Oh but i had him added like 2 weeks ago and he was still legit so i traded him today, but i didnt see the dispute that was open against him" = user gets scammed.

What if there was a automated system that lets the community know when a user is under dispute ? Like maybe under the username or like a icon.

So it would stop people from going on scamming sprees because as soon as 1 victim makes a report the username can be flagged and other users can see and ask why they are under dispute. (and check for themselves), instead of having like 5 scam reports for the same person in the span of 1 hr

Not sure if it could be automated or if mods wiuld have to assign them, but if people can put names into a system when reporting that would make the site more secure

    discuss?

    "Under Dispute" Button?

There is a TWC and a smart user will go research a trader before they trade with them. That means checking the scam report section for active reports. This is useless.

    No support.

    "Under Dispute" Button?

TWC is applied by moderators on a individual basis, which means it can be slow I'm saying anyone with a dispute open against them automatically gets the button or icon.

I can tell u that 99% of this site will not check the dispute again if they have successfully traded with the user a first time. (so if the guy decides to go on a scamming spree a community member loses out). Now that is if they even check disputes in the first place before making trades.

theorectical Ex: I sold 1b gold to a trusted gold seller 2 weeks ago, he has alot of vouches trade went well. I decide to sell 1b today, but the gold seller has decided to go on a scamming spreee, I would problaby get scammed because i would never look at the dispute section at the time of the trade when i have trusted this guy once before. = too late for me

EDIT: most people arent "smart" in trading lol, this would help guide them realy

I feel like this would be abused. Especially by the numerous people who think raw chat logs are proof and just the plain everyday trolls. It's a good concept, but no support either :/

There are just smart trading procedures that everyone should follow every time they trade (ie: getting a PM, checking scam reports, and things like that) and if 99% of the community are too lazy or ignorant then it is their fault they got scammed. The community isn't here to protect people because they're too lazy or ignorant to follow safe trading procedures.

    "Under Dispute" Button?

Maybe, but it could result in some kind of double infraction or something that will quickly build up so the same person cant keep doing it. :p

Then there would have to be a sticky put in place. Then people would not read the sticky. Then the next thing they know, they are temp banned for a short period for infractions just for trying to report a scammer. Then they will have to dispute their ban, etc ,etc ,etc. All hell would break loose...

I think that disputes should go like this

you have a dropdown box like the search function, like this (http://puu.sh/PV9q)

then after that just have Scammed Me, dont let the users have a choice of saying whatever after that becuase it would save a lot of threads in the scammer section

then after the scam report is posted it sends an automatic pm to the person who the scam report is against

and then that instantly puts the dispute thing under their name, and the only downside is that it could be abused to hell
