I remember reading up about that weeks ago. Really really strange, i wouldn't call it art, but i wouldn't call it psycho, its just... different.

 

"Art" is one of those words like "Love" or something... I could hand you half of a cheese sandwich and say, "Behold! My finest (art)work!" I guess it's one of those "eye of the beholder" things...

I say; Sure... It's pretty cool... I mean it's just taxidermy.. So it's not really THAT gross... Art!

Nowadays, they draw a circle on a piece of paper and get all emotional about it.
I don't understand how this isn't art when that is.

 

Would you let someone make a helicopter out of your mom's or dad's remains?

It's not art, it's immoral. When they die i'm going to stuff them and place them in a gas station bathroom as a shoe mat.

 

I meant that with the definition of art these days (circle on paper,) it's hard to say what's art and what isn't.
If someone made a helicopter out of my parents remains, I wouldn't care if it was art or not. I would want my parents where they belong; in a coffin resting in peace.

So yeah, I don't care if this is art or not. If it's art, let it be.
But it's just plain wrong

I would because it would be neat. I would call it the Cat-o-Rang, but I am quite macabre. Speaking of parents remains if they would let me I would have them plastified and display them actively.

I guess you haven't seen the widley famous and popular (albeit contriversial) art exhibit showing off real human remains preserved and set into different positions.
the man holding his own skin is a well known one.
It is tasteful and full concent was given, but this cat thing is just stupid 0.o

 

Plastination what you're referring to. It's where they fill the body with plastics and preserve them. It is really cool.

The thing humans often overlook is the preference of animals. Animals themselves are also living things with a conscience feeling of existence. Just like a human animals have the basic instinct to survive. Just as such they'd have the want of respect for their dead.
This is an immoral action and not art.

 

Your argument is that animals have developed a secretive advanced culture that gives them the need and want for the burial rights or specific treatment of their dead? Because here you're implying that animals have aspects of advanced culture. Reverence for the dead isn't an instinct, reverence for the dead is an aspect of culture. There is huge difference in discarding your dead out of instinct (Because of the bacteria and disease it causes) and performing a ceremonial treatment after death.

 

I just think that this is freaking weird. The cat's face looks like something is shoved up its butt.

 

I think the cat is more of a toy then art. You can actually drive it with the remote control. I think it would have been better if they made the cat spin like a flying saucer instead. Make it a space cat or some weirder thing.
