    In so much pain...

    Well here is the story.
At work there has been a recent rule made where forklift drivers must have a spotter, being an apprentice im always spotting. So it was 10 minutes till lunch and we were going to move one last thing, we picked it up and the forklift driver, drove over this metal plate that goes over the dividing slabs to stop cracking (a lot of shops use these as speed bumps) but the thing was these particular ones where not bolted down correctly. As he drove over the metal plates the bolt ripped out and the metal plate went yup around half a meter and flew forward about 2 meters into the back of my legs. I got slung up in the air fractured my wrist and cracked my tailbone.

What should I do? already been to doctor in a cast ect atm doews any one no any good ways to take away pain?

They didn't give you any pain killers? Try taking some Tylenol or Aleve or get some real painkillers off the streets. Or you could just ask your doctor for some, that works sometimes.

This is the wrong section by the way, it's considered personal support.

Nonetheless, ibuprofen (800mg) and ketoprofen (12mg) will reduce the majority of the pain; ibuprofen to reduce the pain from your joints and muscles, ketoprofen to stop any flareup's if and when the ibuprofen dies off.

    In so much pain...

First off no don't go around buying pain killers from some dude in a van!. This happened at work so if you didn't report it to the managers and a report filed then go to teh doctors like you already did so its documented and on their dime.
You should be covered by worker comp so everything you need medically and loss of wages should be covered.

Since you are in so much pain just go to your nearest urgent care center or emergency room and they will check you again and prescibe pain meds. Tylenol has acetaminophen which helps with swelling mostly. Should help relive some pain but really the only option for good stuff is the hospital unless you are like me where basically no pain meds work.

Just make sure you have this reported and on the businesses insurance and not your. When I was younger I sandblasted my leg to the bone and the guy took care of everything under the table and it was the dumbest thing I could have done.

But if you are looking for relief now and not able to get to an urgent care center try some Tylenol and hot and cold compresses. Just switch between the 2 or if 1 works better than the other stick with that one. I read before pain and pain meds are mostly mental so try and do something to take your mind off it while you do this.

DO NOT BUY PAIN MEDS FROM SOME JUNKY OFF THE STREETS THOUGH!!!

If you know reliable people or do your research you can get good pills.

That sucks dude, I suggest you do what Lilly says to do. I've had that particular combination before after having surgery and it did very well for me.:D

    Wow, its that bad?

Can you take some pictures of the injury, as I am curious to what it looks like.

My advice is to go to the doctor so that it is documented and see your options. Be careful with opiate painkillers as it is easy to get addicted too, even if you believe you are an exception to addiction. How long do you expect to be in recovery for?

Tbh just contact your doctor and ask them for some pain meds or something don't try something stupid like drugs or something that might have a negative effect on your health. When I had my appendix removed I was in the worst pain ever so I just asked my doctor if I can have some pain meds and he gave me some. Just ask it can't hurt you even more then it already is.

    In so much pain...

Doctors are very afraid of perscribing pain medications because of the high percentage of patient that end up abusing their medications which result in many addictions and then the doctors getting into trouble and possibly costing them their lisence. Many just hope you suck it up.

My suggestion would be to go to the doctor and have a talk with him. Show him you are trust worthy. Perhaps come with a parent, that way he can be assured you arent just looking to get high from the medication. If a concerned parent is invloved, they might be more inclined to perscribe something as the parent will be very cautious.

Do not, do not, go looking to buy some pills from a guy on the street. The price will rip you off greatly and if caught can get into legal trouble. The guy doesnt care about you, hes just looking to make some money. T3's work ok, that's what most doctors would perscribe.

But honestly, if you can go without pain meds and just get through it for about a week, it would be even better. If you can sleep, you don't need any meds. That's the way I see it. When I broke my foot, it was so great that I couldnt sleep, nor could I even relax at the amount of pain I had, and they didnt even give me anything but just sent me home. I had to go back and thats when it was dealt with.

If normal pain killers don't work and it's actually serious I think you should visit your doctor or the hospital and ask for morphine

Don't ask. When you ask for something to be given, they right away get red flagged and will most likely not perscribe you anything. Also knowing too much about painkillers is another red flag.

If over the counter medication do not work, like asprin, tyleonl or ibprohene then you need to go back to your doc and tell him they are not doing anything. If t3's don't help, then you try it for a few days, and go back and tell him its not working. If you show you have legitimate pain, eventually the doc will help ya out. Of course doc's are very skeptical of everyone so dont be dissapointed or shocked if they dont perscribe something strong right away, you just gatta keep at it.

Get him to take xrays, and any sort of test needed to show you're not just trying to get painkillers, but for an actual legit reason.
