    Christianity and Catholic

Okay, so I was born Christian. My father is a well known minister and thus, I was forced to believe in God and Jesus, which I have no problem with.

But the thing is, with what you see Christians do these days (westboro church for example,) I'm very skeptical about Christianity.

So I wanted to ask, what os the difference between thse two religions? We both elieve in the same God and Jesus and his teachings, but judging by what I see christians do these days, I'd rather be Catholic.

Or is it that what Catholic people do are being masked and that the media only shows Christians?

    Christianity and Catholic

Catholics are a Christian sect which means they believe in a certain doctrine, they're just like Calvanists or Eastern Orthodox Catholics. All still Christian but with just different names because of varying beliefs. The OP has it worded weird as they aren't different religions but just different interpretations of the same religion - like Sunni and Shiite in the Islamic world. Unless the OP believes that Catholics are a Pantheistic religion as some believe because they do, in a way, condone worship of other entities besides God. (ie - the Saints)

My knowledge of Catholicism isn't top notch, but it isn't a different religion. They still use the Bible, they still believe the Jesus was the son of God, they still believe in the Godhead. All the stuff that makes Christians.

They're nutjobs in ALL religion, that is just a fact of the matter and they're nut jobs in Catholic church too. Take all of the sexual abuse that they've covered up for the last hundred years.
