Increase my chance of getting banned?

Every time I bot over night, I wake up in the morning and log in and my guy is stuck in a random event. (Balloon, Maze, or the Bird one). What should I do? Does it increase my chance of being banned that I get stuck in these and logout, or does Jagex have no idea?

 

If you logout of the random instead of solving it right away, there's nothing that proves to Jagex you're being bot-like. The only time that being stuck in a random will cause an issue is if your bot doesn't log you out and you stay logged into the random for hours on end. The balloon random automatically makes you fail the random after 15 minutes, even if you log out, so that will make it so that you get randoms a lot more often.

Basically:

Solving randoms one after another = more exp can be gained before next random
Failing a random = you get randoms after less exp than the random before

 

Generally this is true. You'll notice that when suiciding skills regardless if legit or bot you'll often get more random events. This is a way jagex can test to see if you're botting or not. Failing random events isn't the only trigger.

 

Yeah, sometimes I think that random events aren't part of the detection system at all. I've failed the prison pete one every time out of the last ~7 times I've gotten it, and I've been failing it for years; kept botting and nothing happened. I feel like randoms are just a way of making it more difficult for botters to run massive proggies, because although you can code a fix for it, it takes time and that's a lot of work that could be fucked by an update. I think it's just a system of improving the experience of legit players (being legit, you'd most likely always solve them, meaning you won't get randoms until you've gained a hella amount of exp, and damaging the botter's experience (botter fails randoms, low exp before another random, etc). I don't really think it's much of a bot detection system tbh

 

Perhaps, although I believe that randoms among with excessive playing and player reports are the biggest ways that Jagex can detect you botting, but this is only my opinion. We do not have definite proof unfortunately.

For all I know you could be right, or maybe lucky? I don't know.

 

A little advice from me -

I have my PC in the same room that I sleep. When I run my bots over night I keep my speakers on so that if a bot screws up I wake up to the lobby music, hop out of bed and fix it. Most bots will log you out after standing in a random for a few minutes. Sorry if this isn't much help but it's mainly a way to keep your bot going.
