runescape classic, runescape 2, runescape combat. Why not?

why would jagex risk loosing so many members with the new update? I think they are going to see how many people are unhappy and make a new client with the new update. Why not they did it with classic and rs2. I hope they do. Fuck the new update

 

I never thought about it like this but that's a pretty cool idea. However, I doubt that they will do anything like it.

 

It'd be awesome, but RSC doesn't recieve any new content as far as I'm aware, so RS2 would be abandoned... maybe a good thing but there are so many unfinished lores etc.

 

Rs2 would continue being updated as long as it has members who pay to play. I dont see why they wouldnt do it this way. high risk p2p has 4000 active pures. F2p has around 3100 thats alot of people. That might just be half. Trust me jagex has to be thinking about it.

 

Think of the development time for Rs2 and "Rs3" to both be updated. There are plenty of people active on RSC, too.

 

That's just how it is really..
They feel like in the long run it'll be for the best... depressing.

played for nearly 7 year and honestly i couldnt tell you 1 story or meaning to things in the game

 

It could work possibly but i dont see jagex doing it, they think its the best move for the future, and i think their main priority right now is gaining new players, instead of keeping the older ones, which is pretty sad... But true.

 

Ikr i have been playing 8 to 10 years and i have not one clue what the story line of runescape is. Lol

 

Jagex is like a tiny child, they don't know the oven is hot until you let it touch them and they get hurt. All we can do is let them ruin the game so they can notice their mistakes and fix them.

 

It would be amazing haha, but yet it's just a dream lol

I think they'll loss at least 1/2 of their users if not more, like the wild and free trade update.

 

lol jagex is not dumb they are rich. Give them credit were its due. They created a game that we all love. They will change it if the majority wants it and accepts it. Btw lily quit wasting time and chin your shit i wanna vs. Lol

 

Incase you're unaware, which it seems. The previous owners made the game we love.

I don't need to train, i pk by skill not stats.

 

To be honest i wouldn't even care if they didn't update current rs anymore but just eoc, with the money from sof/sgs they could make a few servers for rs as it is now... Rs after the eoc isn't "rs" anymore, in my opinion it loses it's simpleness that made it different from the others, it'll be just another of all the mmo's there is...

 

I just cant see jagex changing the game so much without making another client. The pk system kinda sucks and if it gets worse im going back to knight online. Pure pk is unmatched. I cant die on my main and with the new patch it will be even harder. I say rs2 stays thats just what i have to believe to keep playing imo.

Whats the point in lvling def if i have to pk naked to die. The pk system could be way better. Switching is a bug and without it rs would kinda suck. Its like that with most games tho. They need to focus more time on improving the system.

 

I agree with you on this one, when the game has been TOTALLY changed like going from clasic to rs2 they have made a new client for the NEW game basicly. I REALLY hope they do this with the new update, as i think some will go to the Combat update, but tons will still stay in rs2 and the economy wont change too much hopefully.

This won’t happen the current era of Jagex employees are too hardheaded to make any rational decisions. Lately it seems they do the complete opposite of what the community wants. After all how is Mod Mark supposed to earn the worst CEO of the year trophy he’s obviously striving for if he gives us paying customers what we want?

 

I wish that would happen :/ I'm not going to play after that disgusting and failed Combat update, it's pointless, I like the current system, and how awesome if they'd make a RS2 (2004 - 2009) Client, and then keep the failed "RS3" (2009 - Present) on another client.

And yes, they will lose A LOT of players, I'm positive also some new players will quit too. Not only old players, They've already ruined the armor and weapons so why would I continue after EoC? :L
