Chances of a rollback?

It is no doubt that this guy duping all of this RSGP is going to eventually ruin the game even more than it already is if he keeps up at this rate. Obviously none of us have direct proof of him duping this gp, but honestly his Player Auction's history is enough proof for me. So what I'm getting at is if this keeps up, what are the chances of a rollback?

 

I dont think they'd rollback tbh. 90% of players don't even know wtf is going on, so a mass 3 day rollback would cause mad ranting...

 

I guess we can't really say at this point because of not knowing when any consequences will occur. They might just end up banning/wiping anyone who's been involved in trading with any of the duping accounts, including the originals themselves.

That probably would be a better solution than a major rollback at this point anyways. How long has it been again(haven't kept tabs)? A few days and still no sign of when anything will be done? Depending on how long it takes to fix, I think a lot would be more irritated by being rolled back so far.

Only thing I would see making one worthwhile though is how much more damage it'll do before it's over with(if they can't do the other suggestion above for whatever reason).

Unless you directly bought from the duped accounts or ones closely associated, I don't really think you have much to worry about really. It could be just from personal stock.

 

His trading accounts are usually the same, low level, so not the ones that duped, and i do believe it was an old stock.

Now would be a good time to buy gold since recessions are a good time to make a fortune, but however with the uncertainty of how much the price of gp will recover and whether or not we will get a rollback makes me a little weary. Not to mention I don't have the pocketbook right now to compete with all of these people buying 30b +.


However if I were to buy from someone legit and everything that was duped was whiped I then I would be in the clear.

Well, it's not to late. Of course the guy has made over $100,000 dollars from this glitch in real life, but I'm more concerned about the game itself. A 1 week rollback right now would erase all the gold he threw into the economy, but however that's a million + angry Runescape players. I just hope that Jagex even realizes that this is going on.

 

I think, based on the Sticky, a rollback is out of question. Those that abused are going to be banned, each case individually.
