Sudden drop in GP prices

And I do believe that and just not that. I believe that the game is dying now so he had to dump his gold and by dumping the gold he ruined gold prices for a lot of people.

 

something very alike happened to the ministryofwar game.... Here it was also a glitch/hack and i see alot of similarities.... selling dirt cheap in a short amount of time, no one knows anything.

I would bet my money on a glitch/hack.

And if this indeed is the cause im already fearing huge rollbacks etc.... i lost almost 11$k on ministryofwar when that happened.

Several stakers won 100b-200b within a week a few months back.

 

Then there would be no reason for him to buy the 2B he bought 1 day prior to him killing the market, but he did buy 2B for whatever reason. That's the reason people doesn't believe he made it all gambling, he couldn't go up so fast.

 

Could it be anything to do with the 2 week free member trials? thus there being a lot more bots in the game farming gold?

I guess it is possible, I mean he's been in the market for a while. He could have experienced a gold wipe back when it occurred often.

I still highly doubt it though. Everyone flaunts when they have at least 1 max shard pile. He basically had 300B (5 max shards on 3-5 different mules). If he had it in rares, rares should have dropped really hard. But weeks before he sold it, rares have been on a rather steady rise. And when he dumped it all, rares rose to prices I never thought I'd see them go again.

 

me and a few others on sythe know his 4-5 last staker accs and he is exactly the type to be cocky so if he had this much surely he would have bragged. Or maybe he learned his lesson from being banned a few times (this did happen to him) and he just kept it quiet. But again one or two accs to win 300b in a period of 1 month or 2 would easly be known.

 

Man, this sucks. Lets just hope they will be able to creep back up once the Prime bot nuke comes out :S

 

how about matkes = jagex official. may be mmg? he playing politics last 1yr in RS. who knows maybe he generate gp on one of his acc and sells from his home.

 

Yes. MMG would want to make only $100K over 6 months at the risk of losing credibility for the game he has been CEO of that made him more than that annually.

 

lol @ mmg...If its a jagex official at all, its a low no meaning official thats cheating/frauding the company. No way thats MMG, or any other managers.

You think the rest of the ~300 staff jagex would approve it? No way. He also knows he ruins the game by it so ATLEAST he would've banned the buyers (so he made free $) but that didnt happen (same buyers in those days).

Having spoken with a jmod, this is actually impossible. Though they are allowed to generate gold and items, if they ever trade them, drop them, or die with them, they get severely reprimanded back at the office.

That and the guy's from Finnland
