Is it worth getting into RuneScape again?

I consider myself a knowledgeable, or at least used to be knowledgeable Runescaper, I quit and gave away my level 128 to my best friends brother who has now trained it a lot etc and it would be unfair to take it back, however, I wanna get back into Runescape but I need to know, what would be more fun and interesting to do?

I wanna make a unique account which I can pk on, and has RuneScape gotten better or worse in the past 8 months? what are the updates that actually effect gameplay and such?

Also if your a active RS player, would you mind adding me on skype/RS and helping me when needed? would be greatful

There's a whole new combat rework coming out sometime within the following months, I'd check it all out before you get back into Runescape.

 

I think I can make do with that I guess.

You really can't make a unique account after the new combat.

 

^ The new combat update pretty much nerfs pures/pk accounts. So a main's the way to go IMO. & in regards to your question, you can add me and I'll help you out if need be, PM me your RS name ^_^

 

I know I'm done with it, but if you really want to then go ahead. I think the game has been getting worse and worse as new updates come out.

 

its definitely been getting worse, i myself am for sure quitting when eoc is made live. Jagex is hell bent on squeezing ever cent out of their loyal players through various microtransaction methods, doesn't care about the opinions of their players, and has a terrible tendency to fix what isn't broken. getting into rs again (especially at this point) would be a poor idea in my opinion.

 

You can make a fun zeal mule or a good f2p pure for the time being. What i did was got 60 str from soul wars 55 range 25 attack and then got 25-40 att by killing monks. Im combat lvl 35 and own so hard. Its fun and you can make 2m a day easy.

pures arent nerfed, you are just repeating BS you heard from other people. You obviously arent someone who should be giving advice on the matter.

basically whats happening here is everyone is going to tell you why they are "for sure going to quit" but in reality they are hanging out in forums dedicated to runescape and are more than likely going to stick around regardless of what they say. The beta is just what it sounds like , a BETA. a testing period for possible updates implemented in the EoC update. Itll be different sure, but until its actually released these people are just whiny little girls IMO. I highly suggest you play rs2 while you can and enjoy it then when the EoC happens try it out with an open mind see if you can get used to the new combat system and try judging it with an open mind. If you dont like it you still got a couple months in with the runescape you love.

That's true. Things will continue as normal. Pures will fight other pures and the fight conditions will be different obviously, but neither will have a big advantage than the other apart from a few skills or pk skill, which is what it is currently.

 

It honestly isn't to be honest, there are far better games than that around today. It's up to you to decide if you want to play it again, however.
