iPhone 3G stuck in DFU mode

Hi, I have a iPhone 3G. When I try to restore it in dfu mode, itunes give me an error when it was CLOSE to finishing. I am guessing that my iTunes is in latest update.

The iPhone 3G is still in itunes/cable logo and I can't restore it.

Have you tried this?

1. Hold down the "home" + "power" button simultaneously.
2. After 12 seconds of holding, release the home button and continue to hold the power button until the apply logo screen comes on.

Or try

Holding power and home buttons down while connected to the pc until something happens.

Or

Have you tried using redsnow or quickpwn software to force the iPhone out of DFU mode?

Or

Have you tried restoring the iPhone to a different firmware?

i spent like 2 weeks trying

 

all apple devices are the same, just hold down the home button and the power button simultaneously for about 10 seconds then it'll debug the device if you have it plugged into your computer.

 

Im assuming you got it stuck in DFU mode in the first place via jail-breaking it. one thing you must remember in future, if your gonna mess around with technology, you need to know what your doing, otherwise this is a classic example of what happens, you did something wrong, had no idea how to fix it and gave up and ended up losing a quality phone.

Not trying to take a swing at you here, but if you don't know what your doing, don't do it .

 

not exactly.

i wasn't trying to jailbreak the iphone at all. i tried to restore the iphone through settings and it got stuck or something and then i put it in dfu mode and plugged it in itunes and it got a error prior to finishing
