No, I think it's a horrible update. It's just a gateway for Jagex to keep releasing shit updates each month.

I'm not gonna even gonna start on how badly it has impacted the game.

 

I don't mind the lucky items, or the XP tbh, just the fact you can buy spins :/

Let me be the first one to say that JaGeX is a BUSINESS that owns a game they need to PROFIT on. Ever since the first bot nuke they have been hurting for money as you can see the player counter is about half of what it use to be. Not to mention they didn't just lose money on membership costs, they also lose money on advertisements and their reputation as being a "major" game went down. Investors are pushing to get these profits back and JaGeX just needs to listen. No one likes the fact there becoming like other major games but i like the fact they still give you xp, gp, and items daily for free. It could always be a lot worse.

Obviously people have a gambling addiction (Dicing, H&C). SoF in my opinion is Jagex trying to push those gamblers away from a bad habit into something more rewarding (either way you win something).

 

The SoF I agree with, it's a fun little chance to win lucky items and exp.

What I don't agree with is the fact that they're trying to make cash by selling spins, because that adds a factor into the game that "if you're rich irl, you can buy exp".

OT i dont mind the aesthetic stuff and even the gear in general, i do not agree with the lamps/pendants being available to people who buy spins since they can get massive amounts of xp. i dont think in anyway jagex should be selling xp no matter what front its hidden behind.

I doubt it, in the end you can buy spins, and end up wasting more money on the SoF than dicing, H&C, etc. I just think they're making a profit. I agree with it, though. After all, it is a business.

Agree'd. JaGeX has basically given up on the whole gambling issue.

 

From a business point of view I have to agree with the SoF. They are cashing into a market that other games have partaked in successfully. Also it is an alternative to buying bots or buying skilltraining, just directly buying experience.

This is true, however buying spins you still receive something . You can't not win at least seaweed, you're still rewarded for your efforts.

Yes, but when was the last time you've seen people spend their money to earn seaweed or a bucket. They're buying spins to get the rarer items, not the items they could get off the Grand Exchange easily.

No people don't buy the spins for rare items they are buying them for the XP Lamps and maybe a little hope for a lucky item.
